Budgeteer · Web · iPhone · iPad

Know what’s actually left.

Most budget apps tell you what you’ve spent. Budgeteer tells you what remains — after rent, after the car, after every bill that’s still coming — for this fortnight, this month, and the year.

Why I built it · 01

I get paid fortnightly. Every budgeting app I tried thought in months. The number I actually needed — after everything I’ve committed to, how much is left before next payday? — was never on screen. So I built the app that puts that number first.

What it does · 02

Starts from your bank, not a blank sheet

Import a bank statement and Budgeteer updates your budget from real transactions. Edit your current balance whenever it changes. No manual entry of every coffee.

Fortnight, month, or year

See total funds remaining after expenses on whichever cycle you actually live on. Fortnightly pay? Fortnightly view. Switch any time.

Categories that fit your life

Manage your own expense categories. Rename them, merge them, add the ones the app didn’t think of.

Quick add, on the phone

The iPhone app is built for the moment you’re standing at the counter: quick add, ledger, home, done.

Reports, tax summary and receipt scanning

(Subscription) Month-by-month reports, an end-of-financial-year summary for your accountant, and receipt scanning so the paper doesn’t pile up.

Web and iPhone, one account

Budgeteer runs in any browser at thebudgeteer.app. The iPhone and iPad app is native — written in Swift and SwiftUI, so it feels like it belongs on your phone rather than a website in a wrapper. Sign in with the same account on both.

Pricing · 02.1

Budgeteer is free to use. A subscription — taken out on the website — unlocks Reports, the tax summary and receipt scanning.

Questions · 03

Does Budgeteer connect to my bank?

No — and that’s deliberate. You export a statement from your bank and import it. Budgeteer never has your banking login.

Which banks’ statements work?

CSV exports from Australian banks. If yours doesn’t import cleanly, tell me and I’ll add it.

Is my data safe?

Your data is stored on Australian servers, encrypted in transit, and never sold or shared. The privacy policy is written in plain English.

Can I use it on my iPad?

Yes. The app is universal — iPhone and iPad.

Android?

Not planned. The web app works in any browser on any phone.
